About Emily
As the only child of a fiercely independent, open and honest single mom, my upbringing was anything but conventional. From an early age, that environment fostered a deep curiosity about people, communication, and the ways in which we connect with one another. I channeled that curiosity into performing, spending my youth as an actor and singer before graduating from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music in 2010 with a BFA in Acting.
Los Angeles came next, and there, I met two extraordinary people who would first become my partners, then my co-hosts, and now two of my closest friends. Together, we navigated the uncharted waters of a polyamorous lifestyle and quickly noticed a gap in the resources available to people in non-monogamous relationships. In 2014, we aimed to close that gap and thus, the Multiamory Podcast was born.
A lot has changed since those early days. I’ve moved between monogamy and non-monogamy multiple times across multiple relationships (so wherever you are in your journey, I’ve likely been there too). I've devoted the last decade plus to talking with experts, hearing from listeners, becoming certified in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, (Level 2 in progress) and doing a lot of my own personal work along the way. I've helped build the resource I wished had existed when I was first navigating non-traditional relationships, and I can't wait to use everything I've learned to help you create the kind of relationship you've always wanted.
